Speaking Engagements: Flash Forward
The Flash Forward Conference in San Francisco
April 6-8, 2005

Thank you all for attending the seminar, and your wonderful comments during and after the event! YOU made it worthwhile!

If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to call at 805-258-3112 or email me at gregory@leyline.net. I am here to serve you! No question too small!

Here are the notes for the seminar:

  • The actual PowerPoint PRESENTATION (1654kb) sdfsdfg
  • article on Google's capabilities in spidering .swf files: http://www.dreamlinestudio.com/news.php
  • code used to find pages of a certain domain (or certain pages) that have been spidered (though not necessarily ranked well):
  • website used as an example: www.wavehunters.com
The person who designed that website is Rick Tontz, and he can be reached at (805) 453-6728. He has already agreed to discuss his methods with you.
  • zipped file of include tag method: if you would like to try include tags out for yourself, I have included these zipped files. Just unzip, place all files into a single folder, and access through Dreamweaver; it emulates server technology when previewing. Alternately, you can upload all files into a hidden folder online that can use .shtml technology
    • default.shtml, contact.shtml, speaking_engagements_01.shtml - three files that serve as the static pages 'shell'
    • include_*.html - footer, header, right and left navigation bars that serve as the 'include files' referenced by the static pages; note that they have a designation of .html, not .shtml.
    • css.css - the css file for clarity purposes. Note that even though you may need to use css.css to examine the inlcude files with precision, you should ultimately not include the "<link href="css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">" line of code in the include file code itself. It will duplicate that line of code if you do in the static file when it compiles on the server.

Again, thank you everyone for attending!

Sincerely,
